Five-car lineup looks to build on Arlington win and double podium performance

Indianapolis, Ind. (May 6, 2026) – Turn 3 Motorsport is set to return to competition this weekend at the Grand Prix of Indianapolis road course event alongside the NTT INDYCAR and INDY NXT Series, marking the second round of the USF Pro 2000 Championship presented by Continental Tire season. Following a nearly two-month break since the inaugural Grand Prix of Arlington, the team arrives at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway with strong momentum after a standout opening round.
USF Juniors Champion Leonardo Escorpioni captured the victory in Arlington, making it the fifth year in a row that Turn 3 Motorsport has won the opening race of the season, while teammate Michael Costello secured a podium finish in Race 1. The pair now sit second and fourth in the championship standings, respectively, going into the second round at the 2.439-mile, 14-turn road course at IMS.
In the weeks leading up to Indianapolis, the team completed four days of testing across two tracks on the 2026 calendar, continuing to refine performance ahead of the second round. With a five-car lineup consisting of Michael Costello in the No. 2 entry, Tyke Durst in the No. 3, Leonardo Escorpioni in the No. 4, Sebastian Manson in the No. 22, and Brady Golan in the No. 44, the team looks to build on its early-season success after a doubleheader weekend at one of the most iconic venues on the calendar.

“I’m excited heading into Round 2 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said Costello. “Testing went well for us, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this weekend. The team has been working hard over the break since Arlington, and I think we’re in a good position to get strong results. It’s a great track, and I’m ready to get back to racing.”
#3 – TYKE DURST

“Indianapolis is always a hallmark event and a special way to kick off the month of May; I’m really looking forward to it this year,” said Durst. “This time period is quite significant for me as I'll be just wrapping up finals in Charlotte before rushing up to the Racing Capital of the World. We’ve had a lot of testing since Arlington that has gone well, and new techniques and problems were found that will hopefully unlock some pace for us when we hit the track this weekend.”

“I’m really excited to be racing at Indy this weekend,” said Escorpioni. “We had a strong test in April and were able to learn a lot which has given me a lot of confidence going into the event. The team has done a great job preparing the car, and I’m looking forward to getting back on track. Hopefully we can carry the momentum from Arlington into this weekend.”

“I’m really excited to kick off the Month of May at Indianapolis,” said Manson. “It’s one of the best times to be racing in the U.S., and I’m looking forward to getting back on track. After a difficult first round in Arlington, I’m focused on resetting and making the most of the opportunity this weekend. The goal is to come back stronger and keep building from here.”
#44 – BRADY GOLAN

“It feels great to be back in the saddle after some time away since Arlington,” said Golan. “I’m really excited to head into the Month of May at Indianapolis and put everything we’ve been fine tuning into action. The team has been working incredibly hard on the No. 44, and I’m eager to see how it all comes together. Indy is where I made my first start with Turn 3 Motorsport last year, so it feels like a special one year anniversary with the entire crew.”
PETER DEMPSEY – TEAM OWNER
“I’m looking forward to the Indy GP,” said Dempsey. “It’s been a long break, and we have had a good four days of testing in between Arlington and now. The drivers are fresh and ready to go. I expect them all to come out fighting hard from Lap 1 until the end of the weekend. Indy is always a tricky race with the starts, so hopefully we can survive Turn 1 in each race and go from there. I feel the team has done the best job we can do in preparation and that we will have the drivers to perform. It’s the Month of May now - time to go!”
The weekend kicks off with pre-event testing and official practice on Thursday, May 7 followed by qualifying on Friday, May 8 and a double race day on Saturday, May 9.
